No questions, but a suggestion: take your pain meds before it starts hurting. I’ve had some surgery in the past and waiting until it hurts is too late. Yeah, the “cabin fever” sucks, and wait until you have to put a seatbelt on!

I’ve been doing a half decent job of staying on top of the pain. My injuries are gonna hurt no matter what because I wasn’t given anything crazy for it.
Male here, how many minutes do you think I could last with endometriosis before keeling over dead? For reference I got kicked in the balls once and it hurt. Oh and one time I had a tummy ache and it hurt.
Uhhh… Prolly a few days but it’d suck. Idk if you’ve ever had a kidney stone, but the pain levels are worse than that.

Hooray for yeeting the ute! Did you keep your ovaries, and either way, are you going to start HRT to stave off early menopause? From what I understand, in a hysterectomy the blood flow to the ovaries can get disrupted and they might not function as well, so you start meno earlier than you otherwise would’ve.
I kept my ovaries. I’m keeping an eye on stuff but my Dr doesn’t think I’ll need her since the ovaries are in perfect health.

No, but I got pics of my uterus while it was still inside of me. I wanted pics of it in the surgeon’s hand for size reference but that wasn’t allowed. 🙄

If any of the laparoscopic instruments are in that shot, the diameter of the shaft of nearly all of them is 5mm, which can give a sense of scale.
Some of them have 1cm interval markings on the shaft as well.
…also literally every surgical supply pack (bunch of sterile supples contained in a backtable drape - opening and unfolding that is the start of your sterile field) has some kind of measuring device in it - usually just a disposable ruler, but lots of other random supplies have 1 cm intervals etched into them as well cuz why not I guess. They could have (and usually do) put one of those next to the specimen when taking a photo of it. …they might have simply forgotten that step lol.
