They would headpat the living should out of the dog saying “dOgS aRe hUmAnS bEsT frIEnDS !!! THEY CAN CAN MEAN NO HARM TO US!!!” and then become patient 0 of a pandemic.
That was my first horror movie, I was like 10 when I watched it. It was slightly scarring but there’s a ton of references in other media that I would have missed otherwise.
I think my first horror movie was Elvira: Mistress of the Dark.
I didn’t see The Thing until probably twenty years later, but certainly enjoyed it … For very different reasons.
