The instant WW2 was over (in case anyone doesn’t understand)
You have to click the hd button to download full quality version, top right
You’ll get no resistance from me
Along with everything else for small high detail prints a smaller nozzle diameter will make it crisper (but take longer)
Stop all the downloadin’!
I’d love a house with doorknobs on the hinge side of the door to mess with visitors.
Using gs, ga and gc for git bullshit has saved me many a keystroke. They show the current status, last log and prompt me for commit message and everything!
Needs a marmite strip.
Maybe chilli jam too
Didn’t take long.
I was looking for mobile games to play that weren’t… you know mobile games. Something single player with things you could plan and execute on but with an immediacy.
I’ve not really spoken about it to anyone before so my elevator pitch is rough. Essentially a top down 2d-ish twin stick shooter where you’re going into a post zombie apocalypse situation and extracting with items to build up a safe community. Rescuing survivors, mild RPG elements, mild city builder. Permadeath potential too Aiming for high customisability.
It’s a lot of systems working together, still rough around the edges (and non existent in other parts). Self funded ATM while I’m out of a job but managed to get stinking ill for a while, bogging me down.
Apparently play store has an early access equivalent for getting feedback so looks like I might try to get a MVP ready and try that out.
Thanks for asking 😀
Been smashing lots of gamedev on a project. Applied for a grant for it too.
Great to see it all coming together.
Ah, windows logs, another amazing experience that doesn’t make me want to kill everyone.
tail /var/log/thing.log
is far too easy
I mean, java and Microsoft errors are preceded by 120 characters of useless trash oftentimes, that is equally as infuriating.
So many times I see junior Devs (or not so juniors) and normies seeing an error message and, visibly, static plays between their ears on their mental TV set, then they just click the first button that looks appropriate and complain it didn’t work.
The text of the message does not get read or parsed.
“You need to close the program to continue”. Doesn’t work.
“Unexpected X at line N” Doesn’t work.
Drives me insane.
Distant Hhhhhhaaahaaaaaaaing intensifies
“They’re all fucked up on drug blood again”
It’s well worth learning, you can use vim motions In lots of apps (or they have vim plugins) and even some websites will let you navigate with hjkl and search with / etc
There used to be a web based vim game to help you learn, vim tutor maybe?
Any time I’m forced to select text with a mouse it feels like a massive ball ache.
Don’t get me started on editing text on an iPad, they have gone out of their way to make selection and editing, like changing a URL, a total nightmare.
