I’m no geologist, but wouldn’t this “injection” still be a form of volcanic activity?

Forgive me if this is common knowledge and there is a well known geological definition of “volcanic activity” that excludes this process; I’m just a lowly chemist.

It’s produced by volcanic activity, but that doesn’t make it a vulcano

A rounded rock is made by a flowing river, but that doesn’t make the rock a river

The original meme just says “volcanic activity,” which is what I was referring to. I get that it’s not a volcano. I was just asking if injection is considered a form of volcanic activity.

A rounded rock is made by a flowing river, but that doesn’t make the rock a river

I get that this is the Internet, but there no need to be a condescending prick.

No need to jump to conclusions either, it was not my intention to be rude it was just the best analogy i could come up with

The root comment (not post) was talking about vulcanoes and assuming everything is a vulcano

Devil’s Tower is apparently not even a volcano according to science […] assume everything is a vulcano until proven otherwise […]

And so i thought that you were defending that idea, i was obviously mistaken
