Slavery existed previously, and certainly xenophobia did. Those things are as old as time, nondoubt about it. But racism is something more specific: it’s an attempt to use pseudoscience to justify how you can simultaneously consider “all people are equal” (a core belief of the age of enlightenment) while also maintaining stark inequality and slavery (an economic reality of the time).

This is correct, but missing some sublety: the way “unter strom stehen” is phrased it sounds more like it is powered in a way that’ll get you electricuted if you touch it. So… this might not be a pro-coffee sign after all.

It is different, if color of skin is a relevant part of the context of the story. Having John Brown played by a black man would be equally misleading.

For Anne Boleyn’s story on the other hand, racism did not play a part, because it wasn’t even invented yet.

You could add [1], [2], [3], … in a couple of places, to proof that it’s all true

• alt-. also pastes the last argument of the previous command (useful if you need to modify it a bit)
• instead of any shortcuts starting with “alt” you can also press “esc” followed by the second key, e.g. pressing “esc”, releasing it and then “a” is the same as pressing “alt-a” (useful if you have only one hand available, or if alt is not availalble)
• if you put a space before a command, it will not be saved in history (useful sometimes, e.g. if you pass a password directly as an argument)

After apending two years performing this calculation, I can finally confirm: it is correct.
