Sorry girl, I’m busy looking at shitposts on lemmy
Just your typical internet guy with questionable humor

I’m over 30, but even when i was in my early 20s I couldn’t stand the blaring lights. A HS friend built up a rig with full flashy RGB shit and I was like “why?” - He thought it was cool, possibly still does.
I mean, I’m supposed to look at the monitor, not the fan or the mouse. Keyboard blacklight is good, tho, so long as it’s not red nor a dancing rainbow. Yellow or white are the best kb backlight imo
I’d say Space Marine 1 did a significant job in making the franchise more nerd-mainstream. Before it, it was the Dawn of War game and expansions. Slow and steady growth of awareness, I think
500+ on Steam, another 500+ on GOG. Nearly nothing played. Ugh.
Having access to the raw materials is the hard part, depending on where you are. If the place your or any other tribes migrates around lacks the raw rocks, you’re shit outta luck.
Copper and tin are relatively easy to work, as you can melt the metal into an earthen or sand mold. A furnace that can melt it isn’t too hard to create. From that to a steam engine isn’t that big of a jump, the Greeks figured that out but never thought about making it do labor.
Another hurdle is surviving long enough, as you wouldn’t have access to sanitation or medicine.
Yet several cultures across the world developed means to drink milk and eat cheese. The mongols’ fermentation process allows them to eat and drink despite being lactose intolerant, not to mention they make kumis from mare milk
China does something similar, but they used pandas
Takenoko intensifies
Darkest Dungeon?
Age of Empires 2, despite being Microsoft owned, is easily one of the best strategy games of all time and has very clearly stood the test of time. It’s over 25 years old and people kept playing it a lot even before the HD remakes. I remember reading that the folks that made the 1st game often had to choose between “actual history or hollywood history” for some details, often going for hollywood because it made for a more fun experience.
I suspect Factorio might stand the test of time as well, and it’s clearly something made by someone who really understands the medium. I haven’t begun my factory yet.
And you didn’t even blow
Last week, as this discussion was getting media attention, Meta said that “most of those posts only stay up for 4-8 hours before the (uploader) deletes it, before we’ve had time to review”
Dunno how truthful that statement is, but that really shows how easy it is to game their system
Right now at least, AI is being more of a headache than anything in coding. Microsoft itself was responsible for one such gaffe in May, as an actual coder had to tell the AI to fix an error, again and again, as each time it’d make a different mistake
The main problem is that the platforms have a money incentive to keep spam and scam posts online. They pay meta and TikTok for boosts, the scam gets boosted, all done.
Frankly, it seems like the problem could be solved by forcing the platforms to get a Know Your Customer level of information and putting that info on every boosted post, so people know who’s paying for that.
Buuuut, it’s Brazil. Justice and fairness only ever happen as side effects from judges’ decisions
And if you’re a cop, you’re gonna work after death
Now that’s The Joker
LineageOS works on a bunch of non google phones
Wrong root password, this incident will be reported
The problem isn’t the toys and dolls, but being overly attached, which can happen to any material possession, even “adult things” like cars or clothes.
Eeeehhhh, I’d silently judge anyone with a Funko collection. 2 or 3 would still be fine
Hi Okay, I’m Dad
