I mean the founding fathers where litterally rich people who didn’t want to pay taxes. And the rich are still like that. America fictionalizes their founding.
Do you remember the story of the Mayflower? Bunch of Puritans who got kicked out of Europe for their religious beliefs? That happened 150 years before the Revolution and the founding of the country. We were assholes looong before we were rich people who did everything we could to avoid paying our share of taxes. By the time the founding fathers were born, we were hitting our asshole stride.
