    Recovered anorexic who did inpatient: 100% + your body will straight up reject food at a certain point. The only way to recover is literally to force feed yourself even if you throw it up, you basically reteach your body how much it needs to consume

      i was also told that milk consumption helps tremendously because it goes down easily, less chance of throwing it up, is digested rather well, and has a lot of calories.

      is that correct?

        Cant say since I fucking hate milk lol. The staff did have meal suppliment drinks on hand for us. But after the initial not dying of an eating disorder calories wernt the importaint part, it was getting us to be able to eat “fear” foods without a breakdown. We had actual nutritionists there that actually broke down and taught us how food reacts in your body and actual science of needing energy from food

        I loved the staff there and my group but unfortunately the staff was temporary due to covid. I learn from a friend the place went back too being “therapist bullies you for being mentally ill and then your released being more scared of sugar” :'(
