hey look everybody it’s “islamophobia isn’t racism” but for white people 🙄

protip: the problem isn’t a given demographic because the problem is not people the problem is power.

further, all you’ve really done in that scenario is rearrange the fascist power dynamic. it’s still just fascism. you have a fascist position and you need to think on that.

I did say it was reductive.

But I think the word you’re looking for is “prejudiced”. This position is prejudiced against anglophones. I also don’t genuinely hold it. It’s a tongue-in-cheek exaggeration of my frustration with the governments of the US, UK, and Canada. Hard to imagine how, as inheritor/patriarch/benefactor of the British Empire, these countries could ever be reformed in a way to make them genuine democracies and just actors on the world stage. At my most exasperated, I sometimes think it would be better if we just turned over day-to-day management to the UN.

Are you seriously, as a Blahaj user, going to say you can be racist against white people? What’s next, someone can be heterophobic or cisphobic? Misandry is real? Get outta here with this garbage.

Are we forgetting how Irish people at some point got discriminated against by the US, being artificially labelled not white? Or transphobia, which occurs regardless of race (white, black, etc.)?

But indeed: the focus shouldn’t be on: who can and cannot be racist. Rather: on how we combat the rampant fascism and capitalism.

Or transphobia, which also occurs against white people?

What the fluff? Are you seriously a blahaj user, insinuating another blahaj user believes you can’t be transphobic against white trans people? Surely you’re trolling, right? RIGHT??

racism is the specific tool of racial supremacy used by white people (systematically, not individually) to oppress anyone who’s not in the in-group.

as you said, Irish people, when they were being discriminated against, weren’t seen as white. it’s not just about skin color.

so, given what racism is, how could anti-white racism exist? the only way it could happen is if non-white people gain power en masse, to the same extent that white people have power now, and start using the same system against whites. it’s fair to say, that’s far-fetched.

anti-white xenophobia certainly exists, but xenophobia is just the hatred based on any characteristic. you can be xenophobic to people with brown eyes. and if you are that, you’re certainly an asshole, but it’s not really gonna affect anyone’s life.

TL;DR anti-white racism makes as little sense as anti-straight homophobia. not even heterophobia; anti-straight homophobia
