Russian propagandists have released a video featuring Viktor Yanukovych, the ousted former Ukrainian president who is now on the run, in which he claims he “worked purposefully to bring Ukraine closer to the EU, but the Europeans behaved improperly”.
Absolutely! But I don’t think Putin truly gets this. His only sources of information are extremely biased.
Remember, he does not use the Internet. For anything. Ever. Everything he knows comes from his aides, and he has punished all aides that said something in contradiction with what the other, lying, aides said. Basically ridding himself of anyone halfways honest.
