The mother was trying to get the crew to go to a hospital where her husband worked. The medical protocol the crew was following called for transport to the nearest trauma center. Rudy threw himself into the mix, and later spread vicious lies about the crew, trying to make them look like they’d refused to treat the child. As the Union pointed out, Rudy would never have interfered with a cop or a fire fighter.
