    there was a ton of biphobia in the song (she admitted it later) whereas jill’s version was more of an ernest look at fluidity and exploring your sexuality.

    katy claimed that it was because it was “10 years ago and ppl didn’t really talk about bisexuality then” nevermind the fact that like the ENTIRETY of glam rock existed in the 90s and jill sobule literally made the song she was covering about bixsexuality.

      Just reread the lyrics there, how is it biphobic? Genuinely asking.

      The part which I thought could be interpreted as that is the “hope my boyfriend don’t mind it”, which I saw more as a cheating thing.
