I think the format was previously used to represent change in opinion by level of experience (hence the curve). It likely got confused with time passing since typically experience increases with time. Ex:
Yeah this meme is usually about a societal IQ distribution (hence the center being marked as 100), so the image in this post would suggest that low and high IQ people love trans women, but average IQ people are trans themselves. Which is obviously not true but also kinda funny :D

The x axis is supposed to represent IQ, not experience. The label is clearly visible in your example, although it’s obscured by a watermark in the OP
