i don’t feel tardy.
i don’t feel tardy.
i mean, as part of my job, i routinely take area hospitals medical grade leeches. it’s not like they ever stopped being used by doctors.
it’s been awhile since i dove into Linux, but last time i dabbled i was liking Kubuntu.
it’s pork dog, like many things it needs to be cooked properly.
if you want to risk it for undercooked meat, that’s on you. but certain things need to be sanitized. cooking does that. there are many ways to have chewy, yet properly cooked bacon.
people think immortality is a gift.
but it is a curse.
immortal bacon would be no different.
the times we don’t have bacon, give delicious flavor to the times when we do. if it was bacon time, all the time, then the phrase ‘bacon time’ would lose it’s significance.
i don’t think we should act like journalism was in a great place before.
FB capitalized on a weakened industry, but it was the industry itself that was responsible for that state.
they really fucked themselves by not transitioning to the new market, instead insisting that it was the customers that were wrong. all these years later, i’ve yet to see a news outlet that would be worth the subscription fee. they’re mostly recycling content from other, free sites anyway.
once the older crowd passes, traditional news outlets are done for. the ones that remain will be the ones that were providing the content all along.
The cost of cigs is also artificially inflated in many places. I’m glad to see less of the younger crowd smoking, that’s a good thing. But doing it in these ways just feels plain un-American.
We let an awful lot of things that are bad for us slide, because the effects aren’t as visible.
everyone knows, there’s a certain amount of fucking around you get for free. the real problem is that the finding out part can happen quick, and seem to come out of nowhere.
generally computers won’t stop doing things they were already capable of doing. tons of machines and businesses may rely on older hardware and software to complete specific tasks.
but yeah, a 486 is pretty past its prime, and the task could have been accomplished on something far more modern.
phones and tablets are fine for consuming media. they are noticeably worse at creating it.
i couldn’t imagine typing out long responses, sometimes with links, with a phone or tablet.
as for how many consumers still use PCs, hard to say. i know i don’t go a single day without using mine. whether it’s to play a game, type up a guide for someone to do something, or whatever else. on the flip of that, i also own a ultrabook that i use when i’m away from home. it’s capable of doing many things, but it’s no where near as capable as my desktop setup.
let’s be real here.
none of us are happy with the outcome.
pretty much ALL of us would have settled for $2.4 million.
they’re commonly known as busy bowls.
we had to get one for a young dog we took in. he was used to food being scarce, and would gulp down any given to him. the busy bowls make them work for it, so it slows them down a bit.
for those that don’t know: the writers were using Lisa, in a very poorly made costume, to make a visual gag, and take a jab at Florida all in one fell, subtle, swoop.
even back then the state was a joke and the writers were having fun with that. a shitload of comedy does this. they use a stupid joke as a guise to tell a deeper joke. sometimes to throw people off, a stupid joke will be just that, a dumb gag with no real deeper meaning. most of the time that’s thrown in as a sort of variety from all the times the stupid jokes are referencing something more meaningful.
the court jester can sometimes get away with telling the truth.
when i was 20, i took care of my grandmother. she got evicted from a so-called ‘Christian’ assisted living facility, that evicted her on Christmas.
people… what a bunch of bastards.
My dad has been using my old 6S until recently. We bumped him up to a 8 I recently quit using.
Currently I’m using an 11 Pro. Great phone.
They’ve been doing it for a very long time now. I’m currently using a 2015 model, Dell Tablet. It has Linux support. Cost me about $250 (with a copy of W10 Pro), a few years back. I also got it with the hard shell keyboard dock, effectively making it a net book.
It’s been a great device, but probably isn’t what OP is looking for.
that’s because you are the product.
when the delivery fails, i like to default to a old Mitch Hedberg joke.
That joke was funnier than you people acted.
if dude wants to really fuck with his teacher, he should show up with a detailed report on the creation of his joke, how the execution of his joke failed, and why the audience was wrong to misunderstand it. possible bonus points would be to veeeeery subtly insinuate that the joke was just over their heads, as meta humor sometimes is.
you could conclude the study with thoughts on how subjective and varied humor is. maybe bring up how that joke slayed when you performed it for your test audience, but then fell flat with the actual audience.
The revolution will be live-streamed.
