And we already have physical connections, even in rural America.
And we already have physical connections, even in rural America.
Can you tell me more about this? Is it true that government grants and subsidies were given out to specifically expand fiber to rural America?
You can honestly use a smartphone pretty similarly to a dumbphone.
It’s your choice to use apps that aren’t email, text messaging, phone, or gps. Nobody is forcing you to use them.
Who’s going to pay for it?
Linux piracy can honestly be a pain in the ass. I wouldn’t beat yourself up too much over it if it wasn’t working properly.
There’s someone called “johncena” then some numbers who supposedly uploads some kind of Linux-ready release of games.
I’m a Linux pirate so I’ve been going through the trials and tribulations to get games to work. For the best results, I typical need to install the game in a Windows VM then copy it over to my main OS. It’s a hassle and takes up a lot of storage in the process, but it’s nice when it works.
It sucks when it doesn’t work and can feel like a waste of time. That’s something I’ve just gotten used to with computers.
Ok.
What about everyone else?
I have a lenovo, and while the software side seems to be good, the hardware side is not.
They clearly don’t give a shit about hinges and use the cheapest, thinnest plastic they can source.
It’s fucking stupid and should be illegal, but our representatives don’t represent us.
Terry Davis.
About a 7.
Been using Linux for years, have a fairly wide variety of knowledge to pull from, but I’m still not that great or anything.
It definitely feels like progress slows as we get better.
You really shouldn’t let the state of the world breed you out of the gene pool.
Also, consider how humans in the past lived. Most of them had way, way worse lives than what the average person experiences today.
It’s not even close. Take a look at what life was like before we eradicated Smallpox, for example.
Right now is unironically the safest, most prosperous time in human history to have children.
Not in the least.
You should look at people born in the past.
Nah. My instance was having issues for some reason.
We already have physical lines.
Businesses and governments aren’t going to invest in digging and laying down more cables to give people in rural America access to fiber. They’re already reluctant to do it for major cities.
Remember how Elon Musk conned Vegas out of millions with the hyperloop.
Satellite internet is not the future; it’s cell internet.

Does he have to work with the wealthy to raise their taxes?
What about putting caps on rent?
Seems like he could do both of these without any backing from wealthy people.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratchet_effect
The ratchet effect is a concept in sociology and economics illustrating the difficulty with reversing a course of action once a specific thing has occurred, analogous with the mechanical ratchet that allows movement in one direction and seizes or tightens in the opposite.
Republicans push us in one direction, weak/complacent democrats don’t fight back.
It’s part of the two-pronged strategy, and why anyone who supports establishment democrats is tacitly supporting republican policies.
We really needed Bernie in 2016, but it shows where liberals’ priorities lie. They become conservative as soon as their wealth is threatened.
Episode 0. I’ve never seen it, but it seems like the kind of dumb normie-show that I wouldn’t like. I base this solely off of all the morons I see that went apeshit over it when it came out.
Instead, treat yourself to some high-brow art like Undone. You probably haven’t heard about it because it’s an Amazon Prime exclusive, and most of the idiots today “consuming” digital entertainment have been conditioned to only see what’s a part of their paid streaming service(s).
Since we’re smarter than the average idiot, we can stream it for free here: https://hydrahd.io/ No account or credit card info required, but you will need an adblocker (which you should already have, but many morons complain about ads to this day without realizing adblockers exist.)
You’re right, it’s not their responsibility.
The software would still be better if it had this feature, or at least some kind of warning or notification to alert users of the problem before they upgrade.
