Assuming not-Montana US, you can be fired for any reason other than membership in a protected class (race, religion, etc). Attending an ice cream social, even a company one, is not a protected class.

Sometimes I feel out of place here 😕
There’s a difference between “I know we’re not your employer any longer, but you’re still forbidden from this thing” and “hey, I know we’re all kind of disappointed and emotions are hot right now. What people say to the media can come back to haunt us. Please don’t do that, especially if that’s not your area of expertise, as it may have implications in the next election”
Organize for what, exactly? A big reason he shouldn’t be in office is because he incited an insurrection on January 6 to overturn an election. Any kind of organization to prevent him taking office would also be an attempt to overturn an election.
If you have a different goal in mind, I’m all ears. But I’ve been crying that democracy and elections are sacred and I’ll be damned if I’m going to change my mind because it’s gone the other way.
It’s not even a crime, it’s a civil lawsuit they filed
Honestly, I’ve been kind of wondering what his tea leaves read. I’m not sure about everything he’s predicted, but he was right about Trump in 2016 and the predicted red wave in 2022 being a dud.
Are you talking about nationally, the recent Iowa poll, or something else? Because Trump has never won the national popular vote but still made his way into office
Except My Cousin Vinnie
Do you happen to remember the name of that documentary? I saw the Vice specials from a really long time ago, but they seem to have gone through a much more controlled experience that wouldn’t see what you describe. Heck, I think what I saw predates smartphones taking over the world.
Is “breaks silence” the “slams” equivalent in headline writing when someone gives an opinion?
It’s a solution in search of a problem. And boy are they searching.
Isn’t he supposed to be banned from NY?
Honest question: huh?
Oh, I misread your comment to say that he named himself that because he’s not a god, like there was some back story or something!
Absolutely agree that what he said is more important than the stage name used when saying it
As someone who just hasn’t heard of him before his interview with Kamala, could you tell me the point? Genuinely curious.
Speaking of doing research, thoughts?

The big question is if you can charge at home. Depending on the car, it’s feasible to do so on a normal outlet if you drive ~30 miles or less per day. A 240 volt outlet can be a game changer on top of that though. My setup charges my car 0-100 in about 6 hours (you know, overnight, when I’m not doing anything and electricity is cheapest). But if I were in an apartment and had no access to overnight charging I’d consider other options.

Yesterday I accidentally commented in .ml and mentioned that voting third party in our current voting system is playing with fire to get a worse candidate in office. I was told I must therefore start a grassroots movement for ranked choice voting, because apparently I can’t have an opinion without a movement.
Normally I let a few downvotes get under my skin more than I care to admit, but in this setting it was kind of a badge of honor. Honestly it was kind of “fun” to see what people were saying.
I’m not upset that he’s upset at the amount. It’s purely the second half of that sentence that shows what a piece of shit he is
IMO, those who know who Liz Cheney enough to think her brand is toxic know her well enough to know what’s happened in the last 4 years and why that would put her in that position. And that “why” is much more important than “who”
Also Colorado. Granted, covid didn’t give me much opportunity here but I wore a suit this summer for the first time in about 5 years. It was a wedding and I was the officiant 🙃
