Woohoo both systems suck. You can actually believe that just because one system is bad, what is considered the opposite is also bad. Marx was not some omniscient doctor manhattan. He had some ideas. Some were good critiques on capitalist culture. Others were fantasy that do not function in the real world.

I’m curious what disinformation you’re talking about given what you quoted? And you implied that it is known, but why do you think said disinformation would be spread?

Honestly this is an awful situation. But the reason you don’t see more harsh criticisms from world leaders (and there have been criticisms and statements calling some of what they are doing as illegal) is because the world leaders know that they may need to same option if something similar happens to them.

Do you have a better suggestion for what Israel should do in order to respond. And saying “free Palestine” doesn’t count. They completely left Gaza and it got worse. I can’t stand Bibi, but he absolutely called it when they were planning to leave Gaza. The blockade of Gaza didn’t start until Hamas took over. And do recall Egypt is also blockading.

I don’t see how this attack ends. I mean it has absolutely destroyed the chance for Gaza reps to be involved in peace talks. Not that there was much chance of that. Honestly, if I had to guess, Israel plans to wipe out all of the higher up Hamas this time in an attempt to bring Gaza back under the PA/Fatah.

I hope so. And I hope whoever eventually replaces Gabe and other behind the scenes higher ups are hand picked because they share the same love for gaming that the current people do.

Watching Gabe talk about playing Dota on the steam deck and making sure it was viable, you could just tell he loves games. He cares about the experience.

Sometimes that hinders things. Probably why we won’t be getting a portal or half life 3. Because he doesn’t see something matching the quality that those games achieved. And they also have done some stuff that I’m less fond of. I believe it was CS and TF2 that really started some of the loot crate random reward gambling type stuff. But all in all, the people at steam do currently seem to care about giving gamers a good experience.

I just hope that doesn’t change.

And it will be probably remain a good company while Gabe us around. But no one lasts forever. And that could be troublesome in the future. Don’t get me wrong. I love steam. Have a steam deck. Buy about half of my games on their (a few on gog and rest on console). But it could be a problem in the future.
