Some time ago, I tried Ubuntu for the first time. I was shocked that the preinstalled Firefox (snap package) took 10 seconds to launch, compared to 1-2 seconds on Windows.

Android has the same feature.
I am copying every single url from browser and paste it to Celluloid. That’s how I watch youtube on PC.
Maybe a reason not to use Snapchat?
It’s only 104 MB/s. Not enough for RAW video.
My RPi4 refused to start with a 2x2.5" hard drive, so I did some workarounds. I connected the USB 3.0 +5V pin to the GPIO and powered the RPi using a PD trigger with MINI 560 (5A DC-DC converter). In my case, a random 18W QC brick was enough.
Avis Libre gallery can convert images from/to WEBP.
Maybe try Alpine?
It seems that Youtube’s IT department has decided to utilize the budget and show investors that they are not getting paid for nothing. After all, Youtube is only testing a new type of advertising, and there are already a dozen solutions to the problem in the comments.
No parts manufacturers will do the extra work to make them work for Linux
They just don’t want to. Now they can stop releasing security patches and users would buy new hardware.
I have an HP 530 from 2007, and its hinges are fine. I upgraded it to 2 GB of RAM (I have core2duo model) and installed Linux Mint. I use it at work to open the corporate web portal and watch youtube, which is only possible with a modern web browser.

PostmarketOS devs have made huge improvements over the past year. Now it can be used for daily driving. Some functions do not work simply due to the lack of drivers.
Use the adapter plug as mentioned.
Type C can’t spin 360°. I have a 90-degree 3.5mm jack, which doesn’t create a risk of breaking the port, so I can put my phone in my pocket in any position.
Hurts waterproofing, phone slimness and design
Check out the Sony Xperia 10. It’s the smallest phone on the market with a 3.5mm jack, micro SD slot, 5000 mAh battery, and IP68 rating.
Nothing was taken away. It’s literally just combined with another port now.
Haha, remember 2000s, when most phones were using proprietary connector for both charging and headphones output? Everyone hated that stuff.
Maybe your old phone’s screen sucked. I switched from flagship 2021 OLED phone to mid-tier IPS 2020 phone. I prefer IPS, because it crisper and have more neutral colors. And more important, it doesn’t have stupid waterfall edges.
