Am I an idiot or isn’t the “pip vs conda vs poetry” line talking about package management?

Exactly what I came to comment on. Got a TV that’s half way off the wall and a ps5 hiding on the stairs just ready to take someone out.
This is what I was going to say.
It was sooo frustrating cause they shut down Harris at one point, like stop letting Trump steam roll you and be consistent on who can speak.
Yeah, the person above you seems to be ignoring the fact that them breaching their air space for the first time is an escalation, not to mention China has generally been escalating it’s rhetoric recently.
It could be argued that China is feeling pressured to escalate (due to external events or US escalating trade/policy stances), but threatening a missile system is more signaling “keep this up and we’ll respond”.
Microsoft actually ported their keyboard to android, called “Microsoft SwiftKey” or similar. It’s a great keyboard, but apparently now has copilot ಠ_ಠ
It was nice to get a new adult animated show that tried to be more than just a raunchy comedy. The plot was intriguing, even if it never really found itself, and the setting was fun and unique.
Since you liked it you could also check out Krapopolis. It’s a interesting animated comedy set in ancient Greece about creating “civilization” with some pretty big voices.
I watched through the end because I was curious where it was going, but I think it got a last season just to wrap things up. Most of the plot lines made no sense or didn’t really get wrapped up.
It kept feeling like it was building towards something, but it never delivered on any level. Humor was okay, but really shows Groening should stick to an episodic format.
The study is still valuable, this is a math class not a technology class, so understanding it’s impact is important.
Also, this is his campaign staff at an event he attended. Can’t recall what people thought was on the laptop, but Hunter Biden is not a part of Bidens campaign or presidency.
You’re right, I thought that paper came out in 2016.
I wouldn’t say worst, but maybe greatest difference in expectation vs reality - “My Time at Portia”.
Cutscenes and voice acting were janky. The UI felt like it was originally an MMO and feels odd for a single player game. The gameplay loop felt tedious and seemed to disrespect the player’s time.
Maybe I needed to give it more time, but for a game that I thought had generally good/great reviews, it wasn’t clicking for me.
LLMs have been around since roughly 2016 2017 (comment below corrected me that Attention paper was 2017). While scaling the up has improved their performance/capabilities, there are fundamental limitations on the actual approach. Behind the scenes, LLMs (even multimodal ones like gpt4) are trying to predict what is most expected, while that can be powerful it means they can never innovate or be truth systems.
For years we used things like tf-idf to vectorize words, then embeddings, now transformers (supped up embeddings). Each approach has it limits, LLMs are no different. The results we see now are surprisingly good, but don’t overcome the baseline limitations in the underlying model.
Yeah, I feel like people are too focused on whether or not it’s “legally” collusion.
At the end of the day, it’s a single entity with an overrepresneted ability to set prices.
Hahaha, I kept saying this to myself while going through this thread. I mean there is a whole wiki page on the concept of AI winters because it’s such a common occurrence - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AI_winter
Yeah that’s what I was trying to call out. Also seems some people aren’t aware that many of these investment properties were never built, so the people lost their money and the asset behind it.
With things like wsl, conda has also become less useful. Anaconda is terrible software and the need for conda managed packages is mostly lost outside of the windows OS in my opinion.
I could be wrong, but I think they’re referring to all the middle class Chinese who were using housing as an investment vehicle (cause that was a common thing in China to my understanding).
Yeah they took that prediction an odd step too far.
Why be the bad guy when you can just enable them.
