How come they don’t just use VLC?
How come they don’t just use VLC?
Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You think you can identify AI because you only take into consideration the AI that you’re able to identify.
Every time you get tricked into thinking AI is an actual person, you don’t realize it so you don’t factor it in.
I swear, a lot of the AI hate these days really outs how ignorant people are about the world they live and how illogically they go about obtaining or verifying information.
To be fair, you’ve been getting fed ‘human slop’ for years without having an issue. See: Marvel movies
Why complain when it’s a machine producing it instead?
I’m going in the opposite direction.
I’m recognizing how much we’ve been herded like sheep just to make rich people richer, and I’m fighting back in the ways that I can.
Nvidia user here. The criticism of Nvidia support on Linux is always blown way out of proportion by AMD fanboys.
The only issue I ever have is needing to prepend prime-run
to each application I want to launch with the dedicated GPU.
I’ve had significantly worse problems with AMD drivers, so much so that it really opened my eyes to how stable things were on the green team.
I’m not saying you should get one over the other, but you shouldn’t let fanboys dictate your decision. They will try to do so without admitting they’re fanboys, so we have admit it for them.
I highly recommend getting a gaming laptop. You can buy a 4070 lenovo laptop at Walmart for $1k (at least in the US.)
Otherwise, check out https://old.reddit.com/r/LaptopDeals/ until you find something that fits your needs and budget. (sorry for linking to the other site)
You should use bluetooth controllers instead of ones that take a dongle simply because the dongle is unnecessary. Playstation controllers work well, but they’re expensive and I haven’t been able to find a 3rd party variant that works properly.
I also recommend getting a wireless keyboard + mouse combo.
670 is still better than nothing.
Hopefully it can find its way to someone else’s home on the cheap and still give them plenty of years of fun.
I’m using Wayland right now, but tentatively.
Right now there’s an issue in WoW where sometimes when I move my mouse and left-click, the camera jumps to a different position, usually trying to look up.
Only happens on Wayland and it’s fixed temporarily by switching between windowed and fullscreen mode. The problem comes back sometimes when alt-tabbing and refocusing the game.
There was a bug in KDE recently where some menus weren’t properly appearing on Wayland, but that seems to have been fixed after my latest update.
They want people who like to be abused.
They don’t want people with self-respect.
Yep.
“Games as a service” are released as a “minimum viable product” to see if it can hook enough suckers to make it profitable enough for the company to finish making.
If there aren’t enough saps that take the bait, development ceases and whoever put their faith in the product look like tools.
another winter
❄️🤔
Why?
I’m sorry your comment was censored.
Hopefully we can get better communities someday that allow users to choose for themselves what they get to see.
It’s not an insult, just an observation.
Thanks for confirming it.
🥱
Actually, it’s the American business owners that gave china the manufacturing edge.
They cared more about maximizing profits off of Americans rather than competing with foreign companies offering customers better deals.
Keep in mind, you’re trying to argue against industrialization right now. Are you suggesting we shouldn’t have industrialized to prevent “deskilling blue collar labor” so “China doesn’t get a manufacturing edge”?
Right about what?
Yeah, people say they don’t want AI driving cars while AI has better safety records than the average human.
People also fought back against having machinery to automate production.
You might want to look into the “Luddites.”
I hope you can admit you’re wrong when the time comes, but I genuinely expect you to just pretend you never stuck your neck out in the first place.
Correct.
It’s also why everyone needs a linkedin and to wear a suit. We have an environment where you’re not an attractive hire unless you can show you’ve ‘paid into the system.’
It’s fucked, and that’s by design. We need to start respecting people who are fighting back instead of shaming them.
It was just an example.
