Thanks. This is the only reasonable reply in here.
People are such fucking military industrial complex tech bro lemmings on world.
Plutus, Haskell, Nix, Purescript, Swift/Kotlin. laser-focused on FP: formality, purity, and totality; repulsed by pragmatic, unsafe, “move fast and break things” approaches

White noise that sends missiles and bombs to kill millions around the world. It’s very dangerous white noise is it not?
If the rest of the world is educated on our sham political system then maybe people like you can educate the identity politics dupes that I have to be censored by when I point to rampant corporatism in an impotent attempt to wriggle my way out of this wage slave trap.
For example, here’s an image I love to point to that shows why the US is so stupidly tribalist:
It shows what needs to be done to try and fix this shithole country.
I see everyone pointing the finger at the wrong place. We have two corrupt privately run parties. First past the Post literally puts us here. Places like Sweden won’t have this problem because they allow their politics to represent nuance rather than two corporate parties. Meanwhile, the UK which DOES have FPTP, is watching NHS get eroded by the same brand of neoliberalism that strip-mined the entire American economy.
From my understanding, it’s because WASM is pure (deterministic) and needs stateful entry points in order to work. For this reason, a JavaScript bit to interact with it is a requirement at the moment.
Doubling down on the censorship of inconvenient truths will surely help after your whole instance demonstrated the folly in censoring inconvenient truths. /s
Remember: if you think you have to censor the truth about your supposed left wing candidate of choice, they’re probably NOT actually very leftist at all and you’re doing fascist shit directly for a fascist.
If you refuse to allow people to speak the truth, you’re not even doing a decent job, pretending to be one of the “ good guys”.
I’d like to use it as an opportunity to openly shame the people that censored and viciously attacked those that voiced VALID criticisms of Kamala Harris.
She had an easy task: offer voters a left wing platform. What did she do? She offered a platform that was barely distinguishable from Trump’s. She promised to keep the Palestinian genocide going full steam ahead, promised not to even think about Single Payer, promised actually nothing as far as I’m concerned.
She literally could have lied and promised all kinds of things that she would never do and she didn’t even think it was necessary to do that.
It is my opinion that she either:
A.) thought that running as “not Trump” would win her the Presidency.
B.) knew that it wouldn’t matter if she lost because it would allow her to raise even more funds using scaremongering tactics about Trumpism in the next election cycle.
I’d like to take this moment to shine the spotlight on aidan@lemmy.world, HLMenckenFan@lemmy.world, jordanlund@lemmy.world, little_cow@lemmy.world, and outrageousmatter@lemmy.world
The mods of this community (and indeed this whole instance) demonstrated that pulling out all stops to censor even the most valid and well-worded criticisms of Kamala Harris’s absolute shit, right wing platform are a recipe for disaster.
I hope it’s clear now: If your supposed leftist candidate can’t even run to the left of the GOP, they are going to lose. This is what happens when corporatists take over your entire party and you jump to their defense, pulling out all the stops against actual leftists, trying to raise the alarm that our party has been stolen because you’re a stupid identity politics dupe.
HI! Was I right?
An ad. I’ve seen them on reddit and I think I speak for everyone here when I say I don’t want them here.
This is a fucking advertisement.
Single payer, ending the Palestinian genocide, election integrity, dissolving the DNC and GOP, the entire government firing themselves and not running for re-election.
The Democrats, with their supposedly undemocratic super-delegates, are at this point America’s only genuine political party.
Elsewhere:
My point is that this system is not necessarily undemocratic, and indeed that it can even be too democratic. It all depends on the internal setup of the two parties.
✊🏼 The situation we are in today was influenced and pushed so hard by the Clintons that I’m tempted to start a tour where we drive by the Clinton mansion and show people the family that did the most damage to the working class in the United States. To me, it’s almost unfathomable how much better a country we’d have been without rampant neoliberalism. Manufacturing would still be here, Temu/SHEIN/Amazon/Alibaba/WalMart wouldn’t exist as the behemoths we know them to be, global warming wouldn’t be even remotely as bad as it is since we had a whole government intent on shipping everything from China for the past 30 years, unions would still exist, college would be covered by taxes, we’d have Single Payer, etc.
If you haven’t heard about it, look into the DLC. They were formed with the purpose of pushing the DNC (the de-facto “left wing” of the FPTP US political system) to the right.
It’s no coincidence that their archives were purchased by the Clinton Foundation and locked into their archives in 2011. The DLC had served its purpose: to transform the DNC the into the Republican party of the 80’s.
Funny how you put on the victim hat here once someone had the gall to call you out on your actual fascist rhetoric.
Go ahead. Block me. What discussion?
You said that election fraud is a feature not a bug.
You literally asserted that. That was the base point of ALL of your “discussion”….oh and the stupid point about making people who don’t vote have to hold the office themselves. Sounded like something Ted Nugent might suggest.
I don’t like Fascists that are happy about the corrupt state of the country I have to live in. I don’t consider people who actively fight FOR my worst interest (not to mention the untold deaths of millions worldwide that are a direct result of two right wing parties) to be friends worthy of a discussion (in much the same way that I don’t think I should hear Nazis and bigots out on their utterly genocidal rhetoric).
The Democrats, with their supposedly undemocratic super-delegates, are at this point America’s only genuine political party. It’s not a bug that the DNC leadership can assert a direction as you suggest, it’s a feature.
My point is that this system is not necessarily undemocratic, and indeed that it can even be too democratic. It all depends on the internal setup of the two parties.
You literally said these things. Stop trolling.
You know they’re in for a decline when they’re naming products like Boeing.
