It’s just so common here. It’s an automatic assumption that a snide culture comment isn’t about America but those of us with some melanin in our skin.

I’ve spoken with plenty of feminists, vegans, some trans people, and several right wing constitutionalists or other right wing identity. Almost every vegan I’ve talked to in RL was very pleasant and I had to know them a while or go to lunch with them to even find out they’re vegan. Trans I’ve never had a problem with, and occasionally reminded me their preferred pronouns in a very polite way (actually our mutual friends usually did instead). Feminists I’ve only found TERFs annoying.

However the constitutionalist? I got in arguments with him about stuff like whether people should be liable for animal abuse (he claimed animals don’t have a soul so no punishment should come from harming them). He also acted like women were too emotional, but every time we got into a discussion with something he didn’t like he would be nearly yelling. If asked to be calm he’d angry claim not to be logical, not angry/emotional. He was the one we had to walk on eggshells around, while also being the main person doing “wife bad” or other misogynistic jokes.

While that’s one example, I’ve met many others who like to be mean then retreat to “just joking” or “That’s how I grew up”, while the people you claim are more annoying are more likely to adjust to the feelings or likes or dislikes of the person they’re talking with.

Don’t even know what it stands for. I don’t recall feeling a strong specific vibe from .ee people. By vibe I mean, I see a lot of people from that instance giving a vibe. Explaining it is complicated, so I won’t try, but based on some instances I feel there is a general feeling of how users may feel about certain topics, but .ee isn’t one I have any baseline for.

During covid he was whining on and on about limitations there, and on another occasion complained about not being able to drink openly there. When he wasn’t whining about it, he was waxing fondly of how much he enjoys it. So yeah, a lot of monsters still like public parks and nature(sometimes just killing it, since he talks about hunting a lot too.)

As someone living in GA and previously lived in Florida and also being parked skinned, the assumptions of the south are indeed not always correct… but enough stuff is happening in these places that I gotta say it’s much lower in my list of priorities. Let’s get some of this nasty stuff gone before getting upset about stereotypes. I do think I agree with your statement of the name though.

It’s so hard finding low sugar cereals. I’m lactose intolerant so I usually get no sugar added oatmilk at least.

In my 40s and this isn’t that daunting. Since I try to keep up with what people who want me dead (right wing) are lying about yo a degree, that feels way more stressful than mostly innocent slang. Dogwhistles are what I get annoyed at having to keep up with.

Edit: I may be mistakenly looping stuff like Darktide, Helldivers, Monster Hunter, etc into Deathmatch, as those are most of my co-ops aside from survival builders. I also play FFXIV and Elite Dangerous with friends so not hurting as much as others for co-op.

Exactly why I have to take it in bursts. Even Knowledge Fight makes me (usually) less depressed/angry in general (though Alex can really piss me off, but he’s also fucking stupid and I can at least laugh at him more often), so BtB is the hardest to consistently listen to for me. Not because it isn’t good, but because well, the eponymous bastards earn that title.
