Paying for a roof isn’t work. It’s not producing anything, transforming anything, or doing labor, and it takes no time. It takes 30 seconds to cut a check. And they’re using money I and other renters have paid them because we can’t afford a house, despite very much wanting to, because of how expensive housing is due to landlords buying up all the properties lol. You can tell it’s not a real job because a lot of landlords have full time other jobs. Or it’s why being a landlord is also a great way to get money for old people who can’t work and maybe haven’t saved for retirement nor have a pension.

I 100% agree that the problem is that housing is an investment. Real estate investors should not be buying homes to make a profit at the expense of available housing. I haven’t heard how the situation is in Germany, but that’s good. I heard Tokyo also does it right, where housing depreciates like a car, because they have so much.

My landlord doesn’t do that, they have a property manager that does that stuff. Ive never even seen my landlord. If the landlord does it, then they are not doing landlording, they are being a property manager and landlord, but they don’t necessarily have to, and one doesn’t require being the other.

At least when it comes to Israel or US 🙄. Whenever anyone else pulls this shit, it’s a big deal for some reason.

Nah, I think it’s important for people to see the kind of attitudes that cause a genocide, as that’s what’s happening right now. We shouldn’t be turning a blind eye to it while we’re funding and supplying it. They got Israel to leave Gaza so there we go. That’s one. They help Palestinians who have lost everything to get revenge on their oppressors. There’s another one. And they’re helping push a two-state solution and elevated this issue of the Palestinian plight more than it’s ever been raised before.

Palestine is not a country. They’re basically part of Israel. Israel controls their money, imports, exports, travel into and out of it, they’re water spaces, air spaces, energy, trash, water, etc. It’s not a war if a military starts killing huge amounts of civilians, which so what’s happening here. It’s a genocide. It was terrorism to get hostages to extract concessions on Israel’s horrible policies towards Palestine, where they’ve been slowly eradicating people and taking territory for decades without any sign of help from the outside world in slowing their slow rolling ethnic cleansing.

If you automatically believe the IDF after their long history of blatant lies, then you’ve take a side whether you believe yourself superior and neutral, or not.

Meanwhile, Hamas says that Israel killed them through their bombardments and air strikes. It makes it a he-said, she-said situation. And to be honest, I’m more inclined to believe Hamas on this one, considering how credible the IDF has been and how many bombs they have been dropping. Plus, if there was some policy to shoot hostages before Israel found them or before they left an area, they wouldn’t have rescued any up to this point, and we know they have found some here before (and shot them). My gut says that the IDF just doesn’t want to look bad.

And I know Hamas sucks too, but I have to give them credit for this sick burn:
