  • This is objectively true. I have the freedom to go to college without being in crippling debt

Yea we do to, hell my state college here is free…

the freedom to take 5 weeks of paid vacation every year

I get 6, but you’re right a large portion of our country who works minimum wage doesn’t, which is kinda bullshit.

the freedom to go to a doctor without fear of bankruptcy

Yep and we need to fix it

the freedom to travel or move to another country at will…

Yea we can do that to??

Living in the US has literally no upside.

You’re right, we totally don’t have the most immigration and no one wants to move here …got it

  • However, all other instances outside of those enumerated above appear to be unlawful reasons for ordering a passenger out of the car. For example, if the stop is concluded and the cop wants to talk to you about an unrelated matter. This would be an unlawful seizure. The Mimms case made it clear that while an officer may order an individual out of the car for legitimate safety concerns, the officer is not entitled to ask a driver out of the vehicle in every single instance in which he wants to speak with the occupants. See Pennsylvania v. Mimms, 434 U.S. 106 (1977).

That’s literally you’re own link. Pulling a driver over on the highway and asking them to step out and move to the shoulder grass is fine. Asking them to exit the car, on a side street is not a safety issue.

  • It’s a standard capacity mag, it’s not what any military uses. It’s a plastic semi-auto rifle, nothing more. It’s not magically more dangerous than any other semi-auto rifle.

Instead of focusing political capital on trying to ban something that’s not going to magically reduce the number of firearm deaths in this country, we should be pushing for single payer, Ending the war on drugs, ubi, fixing our school system, making sure everyone has access to housing and food. There is so much we can do to reduce not only gun violence but all violence vs another awb which doesn’t work.

  • To the point, mental illness is useless as a prospective indicator of potential mass shooters, since the vast majority of people with mental problems do not become one.

That is the issue, it’s not about blaming anyone or anything, it’s about getting people help before they snap. It’s about having that option to get the help they need, because right now, for us in the USA, it’s really not an option at all. It can take months for people who need help to find it, and even then, if they’re insurance won’t cover it and they can’t afford it, their fucked.
