I can not understand why there is not an enormous backlash from companies about this. All their employees have all the sensitive information on Microsoft servers. But watch out if you bring a USB stick to work…

I would think that the entire idea of a disposable item would be that you can get rid of it after use. In case of something that is 3d printed, you just need a small container of acetone to put it in. After a bit you are just left with some goop.

On top of that, nozzles that are actually used (especially the cheap ones) wear down and never would keep the same marks.

These 3d printed items have been known and used for decades already (Bruce Willis even used one in one of his movies, back in the day). There is no sure way to trace them any more. Somebody could use a file from 15years ago, before all this was big news.

Ask it to generate a room full of clocks with all of them having the hands at different times. You’ll see that all (or almost) all the clocks will say it is 10:10.

Same!! :). My kids grew up without commercials or news. We’ve never missed any of them. On the contrary. When they are over at friends, if the tv is on, they get annoyed with all the interruptions and just don’t want to watch any.

If you ask chatgtp to write something it puts it in quotes. They probably didn’t even want to spend enough time to select within the quotes when they did the copy paste.

question, i have a older computer that i want to switch to linux. It has a 1080. Do i just install linux and it will work, or do i have to go look for drivers, or do i have to use the onboard graphics till i get everything installed? How do i have to imagine it?

Oh sure, well, for books, there’s Brave New World, which you already mentioned. You might also like The Windup Girl, where they have “New People” created for specific roles, and The Island, which deals with cloning mainly for organ harvesting. The Handmaid’s Tale explores similar themes of control over reproduction, though in a different way, and The Children of Men is another classic that dives into issues of societal control and the value placed on human life. Genesis and The Clone touch on related ideas too.

For movies, you’ve got The Matrix as an obvious choice, then Gattaca for genetic engineering themes, and Aeon Flux, which also involves heavily regulated human bodies. You might also like Logan’s Run, which depicts a society where life is strictly limited and controlled; and Moon, which explores the unsettling use of clones in isolation.

To weather they are worth reading / watching, that is kinda up to the individual i think. I found them enjoyable.
