This is how it was explained to me by a very elderly, birdwatching family member… If you ever go “whoa, that’s a really big crow,” you’re probably wrong

Your mindset is why this is happening. Their propaganda has worked on you.
Either go to protests, do something more dangerous, or shut the fuck up
Oh no, don’t give the nazi regime pretense for the things they already did and already were planning to do! That would be horrible!
You mean like when there was a writer’s strike and basically nothing happened and basically nothing changed?
…you think the US has scientific ethics? What the fuck have you been watching for the last 60 years?
Charles Darwin was actually just a teenage girl?
I still have a FAT32 external drive that this (very) rarely still bites me 😫 there’s nothing important on it, so I’ve been lazy
Am I crazy or can you not be a lesbian if you’re non-binary
Sounds like the thing that will finally get me onto another platform. Sideloading is the only way around most of these companys’ draconian restrictions.
I wouldn’t choose to, if I didn’t have to, I guess? But I wouldn’t say I have a lot of trouble if it’s too hot for one
You only notice the bad updates. There are probably over a hundred good ones for each annoying one that you notice.
The US is big on wealth inequality, like most third-world countries. Yeah, lots of people are broke, but lots of people are also making 200k/year. Overall we’re definitely struggling, but that doesn’t mean everyone is struggling.
Lemmy also leans both older and into the tech demographic, which tend to be higher paid.
It’s another thing to walk around acting like the word your little brother made up is common place knowledge
Did anyone here do that? It seems more like someone tried to teach someone something, and someone else said “NO, THAT KNOWLEDGE ISNT COMMON ENOUGH, SHUT UP”
Clam? I’d put them at like 0.25 slime, though
Look at Mr. Free Time over here with his 3 hours
When you see anyone disagreeing with you as hostility, you’ve clearly lost the thread.
Stop trying to twist his words in weird ways that benefit your stance, he very literally said we shouldn’t believe.
You seem to think squeezing as much productivity out of them is the goal, but if we treated them like humans you might do better for them and in the long run your children.
I’m the one arguing that they don’t deserve to be your slave… I’m sorry you feel entitled to so much of their time. They’re overworked, understaffed, and have to deal with so many entitled parents.
Logging in the moment saves them literal hours. It also doesn’t mean you can’t talk to them, it just means you can focus on the important parts instead of wasting time that could be spent focusing on the children.
This one is mostly unrelated, but seems important: Do you think everyone’s memory is infallible, or that daycare workers are superheroes?

They’re not good at debugging. The article is pretty spot on, IMO - they’re great at doing the work; but you are still the brain. You’re still deciding what to do, and maybe 50% of the time how to do it, you’re just not executing the lowest level anymore. Similar for debugging - this is not an exercise at the lowest level, and needs you to run it.
Honestly that is way, way more reasonable than I was expecting. This isn’t half as bad of an idea as I thought it would be
