It does feel like there’s a new wave of change, I have no idea if it’s due to new reddit refugees or general discontent. But yes, there does seem to be a lot more down voting, more quarrelsome comments, less cohesion within some communities.
There’s also been a few posts sprinkled across instances discussing some accounts that do nothing but down vote. No comments, no posts, just down votes
I lost a lot of cute erasers to the back of these desks
Uhhh… that thing where people glue little strands of hair to their forehead in an arc
Do you mean styling baby hairs?
I moved from one county to another in the same state between the last two presidential elections. Three months before the 24 election I get a letter from my old county saying I need to prove my disability or vote in person. No idea what that was about, because you don’t need to be disabled to vote by mail in this state. They obviously knew I moved five hours away because I changed my address everywhere and it was directly mailed to me, not forwarded to me.
So I wrote them a nice letter back saying I had moved and had already changed my registration to my new county. One month before the election all my friends had gotten their mail in ballots, but I hadn’t. Turns out my voter registration was canceled in my new county by the old one. So I re-registered, took my new ballot home and filled it out. Then I took it to the courthouse to file, and guess what? My voter registration had been canceled again. I still have no idea if my ballot was even counted, but this county was one that was blue all the way down except for president
I voted by mail in '22 from my new address with zero issues from the old one. So I’m extremely suspicious at the length that someone went to in order to discourage my vote last year. I’m positive it happened to more people than just me
I’m a five. Just living my suspiciously round life
Oh, yeah. I didn’t mean to imply that getting a job with a disability is easy or that employers actually follow laws. I was more trying to point out that a personality disorder is a disability, because most people won’t see it that way

My therapist told me that a diagnosis of a mental health disorder means you have a disability*. So if they choose not to hire you because of your ASPD diagnosis, in the US at least, that’s discrimination against a protected class. I have AvPD, and that was a concern for me too
*(although many disorders don’t always earn the label “disability” when a person is seeking benefits)
High pH is basic btw. I’m assuming you meant low pH with the reference to soda
My acid reflux has nothing to do with acidic or basic foods, and everything to do with the ratio of fat I’ve eaten or how many alcoholic drinks I’ve had in an evening. Beer is about a hundred times less acidic than soda (for reference) and soda doesn’t set my reflux off
My point is that human bodies are weird and we react in weird ways to food. That’s why we have to trial foods
Millions of American people with Irish ancestry fly or even have the Irish flag tattooed on themselves. They even flew it in protests and marches last year over how Biden responded to the genocide in Gaza, but I’m sure that’s totally different
They shouldn’t be allowed to use less than lethal rounds. I’d prefer no armed police, but the less than lethal aspect especially makes them emboldened to shoot without any consideration. What goes through someone’s head when they shoot a person who made the mistake of falling down? “easy target”?
That woman might be lucky if she survives, and without brain damage, and it really turns my stomach that they didn’t have the decency to call for an ambulance
I like to wear them in places with fluorescent lighting, but some people really get uncomfortable with that. Sometimes I imagine they must be feeling the same thing I feel when I need to make eye contact during a long conversation

They’re not extremely similar to MSI, but you might like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (the band)
There’s an instance called literature.cafe that has a lot of writing related communities. I see writing prompts somewhat often while browsing all. It’s not the largest of instances, but it might be a good place to start
Interstellar is the app for piefed
Her name is Vivian, and up until the last two or three years she is the only daughter he had. According to her, Musk selected male embryos for IVF (which is how all of his children have been conceived). I’m not sure how Grimes and Shivon got around that to have their girls with him

Voyager doesn’t have the ability to do this in the app, you will have to use a browser
