The word for this is fundamentalism. When people believe it’s their way or the highway and all others must conform.

However, in the case of trans folk, I think it’s a bit different. They’re not forcing pronouns on others, just asking that they be shown basic human respect. If you were a straight man, I’m sure you’d get pretty annoyed if someone insisted on calling you a woman nonstop. Sometimes, people need to be louder when they’re facing an existential crisis as they are in the USA among other places.

I’m surprised by this decision, since Ubuntu’s strength is stability and by extension, friendliness to new users. Imo, a better move would be to ship a separate “unstable” release with non-LTS kernels.

A concern of mine is the increasing prevalence of natural disastors as global warming worsens. Our plant and storage location may be safe now but natural disasters will be way worse and in unexpected locations as we’re already seeing.

A defeatist attitude is a fast-track to that outcome.

Once elected, he plans to use schedule F for the first time to replace millions of civil servants in the USA with people who are blindly loyal to Trump.

This is the reasonable take.

The way I interpreted their comment is that people often mention Biden supports genocide and some people may assume Trump doesn’t - so it’s worth mentioning that of course Trump supports genocide too (on top of all the other horrible shit he supports contributing to why he shouldn’t be in power).
