I always hated ads with a passion. I don’t really know why, even back in the 90’s when these was like 2 commercials per movie or something. It never felt right. So much so that i went out of my way to cut out all the ads in the movies i vcr’d. I ditched TV pretty early, because i just wouldn’t have it.

But here is my question. These days, every youtuber and podcaster is basically a door to door salesman who just wan to sell sometimes quite literally shit to you. How do you continue to like people like that. I have my favourite podcasts, and i never want to hear any of their ads, because as much as i like them, they just spend 10min of their podcast lying to me and trying to sell me shit that they know is garbage. I’m not a parasocial guy, i know they are not my friends, but it still feels soooo dirty.

I never judge people who got scammed or tricked or whatever. It happens. But getting scammed by one of the dumbest people on the planet is almost an achievement. I’m not even hyperbolic here, i have not seen a person making so much mouth noises and saying so little at the same time. That guy tricked you? Not even a smart and charming guy? Pathetic.

People always wonder why Vince McMahon get away with all his shit. And i did too, because i kept up with his monstrosities for quite some time. That isn’t even true. Just because plastic isn’t as recyclable as they claim doesn’t mean you should throw your cardboard, paper and metal into your garbage. Recycling isn’t just plastic, it’s also compost metal and cardboard and glass.

Just to stop recycling because some rich wankers need to jet around the planet or people need to fly around the globe for instagram likes is just dumb. It’s not even hard work, it’s just a thing that you do. You can also shit in the sink, it goes in the same pipe, that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

It’s the best. So much so that not having usb c, has become a deciding factor if i buy something or not. It also seems a bit of a quality insurance, even if it’s just a little. But electronics with micro or even mini usb is usually just some cheap shit or that old and they are still selling it.

Can you just not tip? We live in a tipping society too, but tipping is just goodwill. Like if your waiter is really nice, and the whole thing was 115 dollars, you might give him 120 and he can keep the difference. Sometimes just a roundup, fromm 5.60 to 6 bucks or something. But it’s not expected.
