I like to ask a variety of questions, sometimes silly, serious, and/or strange. Never asking in an attempt to pester or “just asking questions” stuff.
I’m generally curious and/or trying to get a sense of people’s views.
Covert? Isn’t India one of few countries consistently and unabashedly trading with Russia? Is this covert in the open secrets sense?
I think separating them improves the user experience for regular users, which I think counts as a real advantage. As I wrote in the body text:
As-is seeing an indication of a comment for a post only for it to turn out to be a bot is slightly disappointing at best, and mildly confusing at worst when their display has been disabled.
It’s a small detail, but small details add up when it comes to the user experience.
If I just wanted to label it, colored tape. I don’t know if colored masking tape is ideal – my experience has been that masking tape left on a surface for a long time leaves some goo, though Goo Gone might get that off. But I suspect that it’d stay on the thing for a long time.
Yeah, the gooey factor is one of the only reasons I’ve been somewhat iffy on using masking tape for this purpose. However if it holds up to where it doesn’t need replacement, could be a nonfactor all things considering.
Opinions on sites like LinkedIn or similar in your region for work? Do you have a profile set up and maintained as semi-obligatory? Or do you prefer a separate professional site for networking? Both?
Which kinds did you have in mind? Some that occur to me have far too brief interactions (or times to interact) to invite those opportunities.
I haven’t paid interest in over a decade and have made thousands from rewards.
I’m not too familiar with credit cards, do you mean this in a literal money sense or something more complex, i.e. the value of rewards & money?
Sorry. This is why I included the bonus question:
what does it mean to be too online anymore?
This wasn’t included in jest but in recognition that for many now there isn’t any too online, it’s simply the means of socializing, among other things.
did anon invent a strawwoman to be upset about?
Any resources to pick this up that you can share?
In the case of children, isn’t some of this on the parents involved as well? Have the parents of affected children talked to each other about it and reached out to the parents of the bullies to ask if they know their child’s been bullying or however one might go about that conversation?
That said, Apple’s certainly in the wrong in taking advantage of this, and in many ways it’s no surprise. They’re essentially a luxury brand, whose entire business model is exploiting this kind of behavior of social pressure and buying specific products to better fit into a group.
I had been publishing articles on my own website since 2003, but I did that mostly manually by writing whole HTML pages.
Huh, so literally raw html? I know it’s not too difficult, but I have wondered occasionally how many small websites may have been written that way.
Is there something mystical to this?
If shareholders and executives are demanding so much money, shouldn’t they be the optimal target for cuts to maximize profitability of the business? 🤔
Does ffmpeg work best standing? Or is it better spread out? Did it work properly if it finished fast?
Does it sometimes seem like commenting in high traffic online spaces feels this way too, not just Reddit?
I was looking for a word that might immediately resolve questions regarding how it might work and the like, to avoid those follow-up questions and free people up to answer however they imagine it would work. It’s…Kinda worked? Aside from a few replies like this, which I don’t mind, I just wanted to encourage people to roll with it as they will
duplicate duplicate, unless there’s something you’d prefer with multiplidicity
Only an existential crisis? What about existential crises?
Anyways. I know you probably wanted a story that was more interesting than depressing, but that’s just one that really stuck with me from that point in my life there. I don’t think that’s a normal experience for a Night Auditor to have, so I wouldn’t take my experience as a reason to dissuade anyone from taking the position, but you asked for a story, and so you got one.
Even a depressing story is interesting in its own way, so I appreciate it all the same! I can see why the experience stuck with you, it’s a rough situation to find oneself in for almost all involved
Anywhere it’s generally okay to look/find things
