Individuals involved in developing new Apple Watch models told Gurman that the existing band system takes up a large amount of space that could be better utilized for bigger batteries or other internal components. As such, Apple is apparently considering a magnetic band attachment system, but it is currently unclear if this specific method will be present on the Apple Watch X or if the company will choose something else.

Also, most hardware manufacturers release something every year. Samsung
fansusers do the same thing.Imagine if the same complaints were leveled at people every time Samsung put out a new watch, phone, or tablet. Some of these are just cell radio variations, but come on.

Like I do have a huge watch band collection and would be kinda miffed if I had to replace every band but the connector hasn’t changed for a decade. As long as the new connector can replace the metal ones on leather bands then I’ll just buy a box of those. It’s like when I retrofitted some of my other watch bands for the first Apple watch
