So many of my bookmarked guitar resource websites are now dead, RIP stringery and Vanderbilly. Here are my go to YouTube channels and websites for guitar content. Share your favorites!
Justin Guitar Maybe the biggest/best guitar instruction to be found online. I linked to his YouTube channel, but he also has a website with free and paid lessons.
EricHaugenGuitar I really enjoy Eric Haugen’s videos, and I’ve purchased a few of his tabbed out compositions from his website. He has great reviews too, just an authentic positive person, who I enjoy learning from.
PhillipMcKnight The best guitar gear channel I’ve found. Has a ton of great videos showing how to do simple guitar repairs, reviewing gear etc. Warning Watching potentially dangerous for your wallet
GuitarSite clunky name, great resource for gear research
Some already mentioned but let’s go!
That Pedal Show yay pedals!
Andertons Music - gear reviews, some shootouts, the presenters are a little annoying but good for latest gear overviews
Dylan Talks Tone - longer format stuff, some really in depth discussions and info, also gear reviews
Guitarist - more about the player than gear, tends to be longer format
Jim Lill - this guys videos blow my mind, scientific tests of guitars, cabs, amps, mics etc. can’t wait to see what he does next
Paul Davids - I really wish Paul posted more often, his videos are just pure gold. +1 for his courses too. Mainly about technique and looking at music in depth from a guitar perspective.
Rabea Massaad - amazing player
Riffs Beards and Gear - one of my favorites, fluff has a great way about presenting stuff in an easy to understand way.
Guitar Geek - Andy has such a great way about him and the week in gear is a great one to watch every single week! Gear reviews and some commentary, but Andy always speaks his mind for better or worse.
Im really liking GuitarGeek def agree he has a way about him that’s instantly likeable.
Pedal show is fun too, I was drooling over the pedalboard from one of their last videos, ‘alder-and-ash-pedalboards’ freaking gorgeous!
just imagine how heavy something like that would be… and how distraught you’d be if someone spilled beer on it at a gig!

- That Pedal Show - Good for learning about how to use various effect types and individual pedals in various contexts
- 60 Cycle Hum - Just a goofball who does fun reviews
- Guitar Geek - This Week in Gear is a nice weekly installment
- JHS - If you’ve ever wondered about the in depth history of a pedal or pedal company, (majority of content I’ve watched here doesn’t in any way focus on or favor his own products)
- JHS - An amazing player, Friday Fretworks is a good series
I checked out GuitarGeek at your suggestion and really like the channel!
Andy looks exactly like Quinns from ‘shut up and sit down’ (a board game YouTube channel and website) wearing a frizzy wig! it’s uncanny
Thanks for the recommendation!

Great for guitar setups, older vids are a little more in depth though.

Thanks for the recommendation, Dave is great! Could watch him do setups all day.
You could probably watch him for a few days, he’s got a ton of videos
