I’m shouldn’t have ice cream due to my Type 2 diabetes, but once in a while, I stop at Mc Donalds and get myself a McFlurry with M&M’s. I get a bit sick later, but I find it worth it.

As a lactose intolerant individual, I can assure you that once a quarter or so Mexican food beckons me and a willingly walk into that dark night. No regrets… at least not while I’m eating. Afterwards there are regrets.

Oh god, reminds me of the time I was with that same friend at a Mexican restaurant. They had decorative chilis on the plate, which we were explicitly warned not to eat. I carefully ate a bit of one of them. I grew up with hot food. She didn’t. She looked at me casually munching on one of the Chilis and thought, “doesn’t seem that bad”. Long story short, I ended up running to the kitchen asking for a glass of lactose-free milk, and of course they only had normal milk. Thank god there was no accident in the car on the way back.
