BOTW is fun, Nintendo sucks, TOTK is glorified BOTW DLC for standalone release price.
Honestly much better experience emulating them on PC where you have full control over your save files and you can mod if you want. Nintendo could make a lot of money if they officially released on PC but they want absolute control over the hardware and software.
I forgot to check if I could pirate and just went ahead with the switch purchase assuming piracy was impossible. Lol, worst mistake I ever made. Now I have a save file in TOTK half-way done with the game and idk if I would ever finish the game.
You don’t even need a Switch to play Switch games, just a somewhat decent PC. Keep it on the down low though, Nintendo doesn’t like it and they have an army of fanboys who will defend them.
You only need a physical Switch and to dump the games if you want to do everything perfectly legally.
That’s true, I only recently got a computer that could handle switch emulation but I know it’s been around for a long time. It’s probably a lot easier than dealing updates on a modded switch.

Piracy is definitely possible. You just have to find an early switch model, unless you’re good with a soldering iron. I’ve had 2 modded switches for years and there is homebrew that helps you back up your saves. https://www.reddit.com/r/NxSwitchModding/comments/1cpo4r1/how_to_back_up_restore_or_transfer_your_nintendo/
