    I mean, that’s really not true. Just look at the various male fashion advice communities, streetwear culture, etc. There’s a huge variety in different styles of shirts, outerwear, layering, footwear, accessories, and pants. Hell, even t-shirts and denim have a huge variety in style and quality.

    There’s massive cultural pressure for women to be fashionable and wear the “right” clothes, a pressure men by and large don’t have to deal with. Companies are one of the primary drivers of this pressure by manipulative marketing practices that that convince many women that they need the latest trends and fashions to be keep up.

    All of it is bullshit meant to keep people spending money, ultimately. Fashion should be a form of personal expression and personality and by no means requires purchasing new clothing all of the time.
