Yes since you’re not the only one doing it. The impact on climate is substantial in both cases and people are absolute hypocrites for not realizing this. You can’t come online and shit post all day about AI without realizing you’re using services that also contribute to The same if not worse impact
Someone using a lightbulb isn’t a hypocrite if they say it is irresponsible to use the resources to power a computer, and someone using the internet isn’t a hypocrite if they say the absurdly higher resource usage of llm inference is irresponsible.

No I’m not wrong and it is hypocritical. It is a great point that highlights this issue isn’t about resources. It’s hype and panic pushed to certain groups. Just like any other. I can find the same hypocrisy on the right fot many of their issues
