If it’s not a simple chore, the reason I do this is usually that something needs to change*. I’ve had times in the past where I did do the thing and it was a marginal result (if even that). Just like I’ve had the needed changes happening resulting in improvement(s) making workflow as mentally easy as I expected.

Specifically for any hope for a creative project, I’m not sure what the change(s) needs to be… though it could even be one of many indirectly related things. Doesn’t look like that is changing either way, though.

* and I probably will not be the one to make said initial change
