Personally I would rather play soccer than anything else, I’m not a big fan of watching sports either, I’d be at a complete loss to explain to you the rules of football especially.

It’s a “fantasy football” miniatures/board game, except by fantasy I mean orcs and elves. There’s a lot of violence.
Mechanically it’s about positioning and risk management. Like chess, but the pieces are asymmetrical, unbalanced by design, and wildly incompetent. But it’s ok you don’t have to do probability math because “haha funny sports man trips on his feet just before the endzone, then dies” is all you need to understand to appreciate it as a spectator sport.

Play: football, darts, badminton, squash. Golf occasionally.
I’m at a loss for how people can watch MMA, its so brutal!
Play: Hockey, at least in theory. I’m a lot older and more beat up than I was back then, lol.
Watch: I guess hockey? I dunno, I enjoy going to games. I more watch because its on somewhere, or other people wanted to watch, or whatever. I don’t really watch sports on my own.

Tennis and athletics (track & field). Both watch and play.
I play and watch rock climbing. At the moment the competitions are mostly free on YouTube and happen weekly or so when the season starts up.
