Alright, next day and a pair of paired screenshots. I decided to settle it for myself by running it though a quick comparison - I’m still seeing very little of what you’re describing. The numbers, taking into account my own splash page loads of both Goatmatrix and Gvid as compared to those above in your comment, are 0% (0 of 18 instances) & 8.3% (5 of 60 instances) respectively over a two day period.
I’ve squared-off what’s IMO plainly racist, xenophobic, antisemitic, and otherwise questionable or objectionable in some way. You got racist Jew soap and Pepe on Random, I got Sonic the Hedgehog shitposting, Korean news, some Family Guy content with a broken hyperlink, what appears to be “you won’t believe what happens next” Youtube reel garbage, a King of the Hill meme from 10 years ago, chess tips, Dragonball Z shitposting (as well as a conspicuously high amount of content about Monaco for somereason?) alongside the smattering of racist shit - what would clock in at 6.4% in total from both. It’s no Lemmy, and certainly no Bluesky, I’ll give you that. None would be ideal, but we’re not exactly dealing with a Stormfront or Twitter here. I’d appreciate it if you could refrain from casting uncalled-for aspersions just because someone didn’t get buried by the type of garbage Nazi content that you did. @Deceptichum@quokk.au

Easy, our two different browsers, accessing the site’s splash page at different times, loaded separate instances interpreted differently by the two of us. I see Pepe, Jew soap, East Indian toilet Sloppy Joe, and some Jewish Wal Mart posts on yours though, as well as one depicting someone with their hand on the West Wall in Jerusalem. I’m not seeing the goatmatrix.net link that you describe, but I wasn’t going over it with a fine-tooth comb - I’ll take another look later to see just how bad it gets because it doesn’t look promising based on the kind of content you were turning up. It doesn’t look so good though, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.
Release the Trump/Epstein files
The Republicans shut down the government to prevent the release of the Epstein files.
At any point, they can vote to pass the budget and open the government again. The Republicans have the votes and enough time has passed that they no longer need a 2/3rds majority.
The Republicans have 100% control over this situation, don’t let anyone think otherwise.
I’m not an American, and not nearly as knowledgeable about Senate and Congressional voting to know the significance of the 218 votes he’s talking about. How many would normally be required as a minimum? What’s the tipping point?
218 is the simple majority line for the House of Representatives. 435 total members currently.

218 might not be enough to trigger the release, but would force republicans to take a stance either against Trump or against their own base.
They’ve been forced to side against their own base several times this year and they always do so willingly. They want to rule over their constituents; not govern.
